Whether it’s people and feelings or simply a moment in nature, Katie seeks to bring out the truth, capturing life as it happens, at its most natural and authentic.

This fundamental need for tranquility and repose is important to Katie, who decided to make art a career after years of dipping her toe in the water. Her creative process allows her to tap into the genuine reality of all things and return to her own true nature.

Katie’s work is classical, but occasionally verges on abstract or impressionist, with light being a crucial aspect of the composition and the medium by which the soul of her work is illuminated.
